For 2009, CWL’s additional advocacy priorities include:

1. supporting efforts to make the judicial appointments process more transparent and to eliminate bias and racial, ethnic, and gender disparities within the judiciary;

2. opposing initiatives that require girls to seek permission from a parent, a close adult relative or the court before obtaining an abortion;

3. working to ensure that all women and girls have access to reproductive health, cancer screening, and other health services; and

4. working to reduce environmental toxins in consumer products used most often by women and children.
