Justice Judith Haller of the Fourth District Court of Appeal receives the 2004 Joan Dempsey Klein Distinguished Jurist Award from Justice Joan Dempsey Klein at CWL's 16th Annual Southern California Judicial Reception in San Diego.

CWL Awards

CWL gives several annual awards:

1. The Fay Stender Award, given to a California attorney each year at CWL's Annual Dinner, held in conjunction with the California State Bar meeting;
2. The Joan Dempsey Klein Distinguished Jurist Award, given to an outstanding jurist at CWL's Annual Southern California Judicial Reception; and
3. The Rose Bird Memorial Award, given to an outstanding jurist at CWL's Annual Northern California Judicial Reception.
