CWL will hold its 35th Annual Dinner in San Diego at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront on September 10, 2009. 
We are planning for a spectacular event, celebrating women lawyers in California and 35 years of women organized to be the voice for women lawyers.
CWL is planning an exciting Dinner – Our Keynote speaker will be California Labor Commissioner Angela Bradstreet.

Trailblazing women can foster new dialogue that will enhance and improve conditions in the labor movement and for professional women, who strive for equality in the workplace, often times while seeking balance for families and self. CWL will also be presenting its prestigous Fay Stender Award. We hope you can join us!
California is faced with monumental cross-roads and decisions for action. The downturn in the economy and the impacts to our labor force are at critical points. The practice of law in these times of crisis and economic strife pose unique challenges to our profession, particularly for women. Trailblazing women can foster new dialogue that will enhance and improve conditions in the labor movement and for professional women, who strive for equality in the workplace, often times while seeking balance for families and self.
For nearly 40 years, CWL has served as the voice for women lawyers throughout California and it is professional women that have fostered the very dialogue for which our conditions now cry out. These are exciting, challenging and for many, stressful times as we women lawyers and our male colleagues, move into the future. Join us and be part of that dialogue.
CWL believes that our colleagues around the state who support equality and the protection of civil liberties will show their support for our position and our efforts by joining us at our dinner, at which CWL will also present our most prestigious award, the Fay Stender Award, which recognizes a woman from our profession who has taken on the most formidable issues or causes.
