CWL is committed to the advancement of women and that includes law students!
If you are currently a law student, it is not too early to become an active CWL member. Below are some ways to get involved:
Join CWL. If you are not already a member, join now. CWL offeres a special, reduced law student rate. Once you are a member you will have access to CWL's Job Bank, the CWL Newsletter and CWL Discussion Forums.
Request a Mentor. CWL has an active mentorship program. Contact the CWL office and request a mentor.
Attend a CWL Event. CWL has numerous events throughout the year where you can learn more about the practice of law and meet other practicing attorneys. Annual events include the Northern California Judicial Reception and the Southern California Judicial Reception where you can meet members of the Judiciary and the CWL Annual Dinner held in conjunction with the State Bar Annual Conference. Join a CWL Commitee. CWL has numerous commitees that help ensure that the organization stays true to its mission of advancing women in the legal profession and ensuring that our voice is a powerful one. Find one that interests you and join today.
Meet Your Local CWL Affiliate. CWL has numerous affiliate organizations statewide whose primary goal is the advancement of the interests of women in the legal profession and in society. By meeting people at a CWL Affiliate organization or a event, your network just broadened.
